Caring for Your Clip-Ins
When you receive your Natural Roots Clip-Ins, take time to understand your set. Each collection comes with 9 strategically sized wefts designed for seamless layering. Familiarize yourself with the different widths and plan your installation pattern before beginning. Your set includes one 10" wide weft, two 7" wide wefts, four 5" wide wefts, and two 3" wide wefts, allowing you to create natural-looking volume and length.
Preparation
- Start with clean, dry hair
- Section your hair horizontally using sectioning clips
- Begin at the nape of your neck and work upward
- Have all your tools ready: sectioning clips, tail comb, and mirror
Installation Steps
- Create your first section at the nape of your neck using a tail comb
- Clip the rest of your hair up and out of the way
- Back-comb the root of your section lightly for extra grip
- Start with your widest weft (10") at the nape
- Open the clips and position the weft close to the root
- Press down firmly to secure each clip
- Continue working upward, using wider wefts at the bottom and smaller pieces toward the crown
- Space wefts about 1-2 inches apart for natural layering
Handling & Wear
- Always handle your clip-ins with clean, dry hands
- Remove before sleeping or swimming
- Avoid applying excess products directly to the extensions
- Style with care, especially when using heat tools
Removing Your Clip-Ins
- Work from top to bottom
- Support each weft while unclipping to prevent pulling
- Never tug or force clips open
- Remove all clip-ins before bed
Heat Styling
- Safe up to 200°F (93°C) for Blow Out Straight and Soft Curl textures
- Always use a heat protectant
- Keep heat tools moving continuously
- Never use heat on Kinky Curly texture as it will permanently alter the curl pattern
- Allow pieces to cool completely before handling
